Denim is definately GOTTA have this season

If you are still part of the people who think wearing jeans (denim) is for the soccer mums, you got it twisted and you are sitting on a very long thing. Denim is not just the in-thing but its the lovely fashion of the day for both young and adult. I will rock it any day and any time.
Now Jeans can attend church, got to office and not just casual wears.
Check different ways you can rock Denim.

Am so loving this,.

Are bigger fashion brands constantly stealing the ideas of smaller and lesser known brands?

Kesh Versace Shirt - Bellanaija - March 2015
Left – Kesh | Right- Versace

Gheen!! Gheen!! This might be taking the term “fashion is recycled” a bit too far.
Fashion designer, artist and DJ Kesh has called out clothing brand Versace for designing a similar shirt to one she designed for American Apparel. Undoubtedly the shirts have a lot in common even down to color and graphic concept, however the Versace shirt will set you back $650 while the American Apparel shirt sells for $50.
Kesh shared the photo saying “this hurts. $650 versace rip off. sold out in 3 sizes. what is this madness? From huge designer labels to small boutiques to giant pop stars to fame hungry former friends, what is this? Why can’t these companies, these brands, these people create their own work? Why do these people think that everything that they lay their eyes on instantly belongs to them?.

Although, Versace is yet to make a statement on the situation.
She also shared more photos showing her displeasure and reposting screenshots of publications like Fader, E! , Vogue  and more who had reported the story.
She told the cut “A friend sent an image of it to my phone. I woke up to it this morning thinking it was another cheap Chinese rip off. Then I saw the £440 price tag and that it was on the Selfridges website.”
Now the question is "is this a rip off or simply a coincidence? Are bigger fashion brands constantly stealing the ideas of smaller and lesser known brands? Is there a law that protect designers work? Can this get to court?

Congratulations to me, to change agents and Nigerians

Good day all,
This is a fashion blog but am a Nigerian and I cant help but to congratulate my country how we all stood our ground for what we believed in, I am talking about people who believed President Jonathan and PDP is doing well and should continue with his #transformation agenda and those of us who believe Nigeria can be better and believed APC candidate Gen M. Buhari can effect the change we want in Nigeria demand for #change.
In all these I believed we all love Nigeria and wanted the best for our dear nation. I learnt that anything is achievable, it was believed by some that removing the ruling party is not just a difficult case but a " COLD CASE", many believed that it is not achievable, but the turn of event had shown that we can do anything if "WE STAND TOGETHER IN ONE VOICE". I also learnt that Nigeria can move beyond our different faith, ethnic and diversity and come together and taught the ruling class that the power really lies with the electorate.

I really congratulate the aged who came out to vote despite the fear of unrest in the country, I also congratulate those who are sick but still came out to vote because you believed in a better Nigeria, I sincerely and deeply appreciate people who came out in the insurgent areas to vote despite the fear of the Boko Haram, "you guys are AWESOME" and to all those who worked with the Independent National Electoral Commission who made sure the voice of the people and the vote of all Nigerian count. You all are the real Hero of democracy and the Hero of Nigeria and not any politician. We didn't have a 100% perfect election but the voice of the people were heard, through the electoral process.

I want to commend President G.E. Jonathan for allowing peace to reign in Nigeria by quickly congratulating the newly elected President and thereby avert riots or violence that could have claim lives of Nigerians. I was anti-GEJ and anti-PDP but I didn't hate the president's personality, he achieved some things and I believe things can be better. I wish you all the best in your future endeavours sir.
I want to congratulate the newly elected president and also let him know he need to surround himself with people of great intellect, who believe Nigeria can be better than this and are ready to work day and night to ensure this. #babanowthatyouarethere as much as I will like to keep jubilations till May 29, 2015 its unfortunately that now I am scared for you and APC and for myself ( having spent so many hours on social media defending and campaigning for #Buhariosibajo), #babanowthatyouarethere a lot depend on you and APC, #change must come and it must be evident to all Nigerians both in the rural and he urban areas, not the one AIT/NTA........ aired. #babanowthatyouarethere we must all enjoy the dividend of democracy and not you political god fathers or some cabals or some selected few in Nigeria. #babanowthatyouarethere you must remember those who stood by you despite all the negative things said about you (the masses). #babanowthatyouarethere the blood shed in Nigeria must end especially in the Northern part of Nigeria. I could go on and on.
I am happy I witnessed this era of change and hence I congratulate myself, my husband and my unborn children, my aged grandmother, my mother, my sister, my brother and our entire family.

once again I congratulate all APC supporters, all change agent supporters, all team buhari/osibanjo for the success, it looked unachievable but victory was ours.
Once again " CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL NIGERIANS"
GOD BLESS FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.
I love you all.

OSCAR 2015: The Good, the Best and the shabby.

THERE is no bigger night on the Hollywood calendar than the Academy Awards - no award holds such prestige in the film industry, no red carpet enjoys such scrutiny and no event attracts a guest list so star studded. All red carpets lead to the Oscars! . The evening has been filled with white embellished gowns, red hot numbers, and plenty of statement necklaces. But just because it's the most glamorous night of the year, doesn't mean that everyone is wearing a winning outfit. Here, we offer our best and dressed worst dressed picks from the all-star event!
Gwyneth Paltrow in Ralph & Russo, there is nothing particularly outstanding about this dress, and the rose flower applique on the shoulder is a little too young. It would be great for someone half her age
Lupita Nyong'o in Custom Calvin Klein Collection, Calvin Klein Collection Creative Director Francisco Costa utilized 6,000 pearls for this beaded dress. She looks like a mermaid

Lady Gaga in custom Azzedine Alaia, the born performer is a fashion chameleon. Even though these red leather gloves are distracting and makes it look like she is about to do dishes, the gown is a spectacular work of art by the famed Paris-based designer
Reese Witherspoon in custom Tom Ford, the white off-the-shoulder dress with black stripe detail is totally classic and timeless
Jennifer Aniston in Atelier Versace, this one shoulder beaded nude gown with a side slit is perfect for her. stunning.
Jennifer Lopez in Elie Saab Couture, Princess moment! This couture gown makes Lopez the belle of the ball. You know what else is making her sparkle? $2.5million worth of Neil Lane jewelry.
Jared Leto in custom Givenchy,The actor is known for his funky ensembles which I have nothing against, but this lavender tux with the white satin shirt and white shoes is more wedding singer than Oscars night out. its too much.
Cate Blanchett in John Galliano for Maison Margiela. The elegant black dress was made by John Galliano for Maison Margiela. She accessorized with a turquoise necklace from Tiffany & Co, simple and fab.
Viola Davis in Zac Posen,The off-the-shoulder light pink gown is a pitch perfect choice for her skin color and the lovely smile is just fab..
Sienna Miller in Oscar de la Renta,We were wondering which actress would be the first to wear Peter Copping designs for Oscar de la Renta on the red carpet. It's not surprising that Miller, ever the fashion template, was the choosen one. She looks great in this navy guipure and black flower macramรฉ gown with sequin embroidery.
Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji, the color, fit, and drape of this dress works so well for the actress.
Oprah Winfrey in custom Vera Wang, the mogul wears a beauitful peach gown by Vera Wang that fits her perfectly
Nicole Kidman in custom Louis Vuitton, the sequin column dress with high slit looks spectactular on Kidman. The irredescent sheen pairs perfectly with her alabaster skin.
Emma Stone in Elie Saab, this chatreuse beaded gown features an open back and looks radiant on the "Birdman" actress.
Kerry Washington in Miu Miu, the presenter told Ryan Seacrest that she wanted an outfit that she could dance in. And this is the strapless satin top and beaded skirt is both easy to move around and utterly chic.
Chloe Grace Moretz in Miu Miu, The strapless gown is the perfect fit, I love the delicate floral print and she rocked the dress well.
Solange Knowles in Christian Siriano, We're happy to see her accessorizing with a smile and the hair is sleek but there is entirely too much fabric for this look to work! I don't even understand if its a dress, jumpsuit or a pure disaster.
Scarlett Johansson in Versace, the dress would have been fine without the crazy necklace, but the matching accessory put this look over the top! tragic!!!
Rita Ora in Marchesa, Why does the dress fan out like that? Is she going to store something in there? its not a total disaster but its nut working.
Meryl Streep in Lanvin, To attend the Oscars ceremony for her 19th nomination, Streep chose a custom look by Alber Elbaz. The black tuxedo jacket with white silk draped blouse, black velvet column skirt, and grosgrain belt with art deco crystal buckle is all Fabulously nice.
Keira Knightley in Valentino Haute Couture, though she is pregnant, the actress chose a dress that had layers and layers of tulle, making the dress look more volunminous than it needed to be. its aii, she is pregnant.
Julianne Moore in Chanel Haute Couture, the Best Actress nominee made her presence known in white organza gown lined with satin crepe and embroidered with 80,000 small hand-painted white sequins. The exquisite detail is befitting for such a big night!
Jessica Chastain in Givenchy Couture, the actress poured herself into this Givenchy Couture navy blue satin column with black bugle bead detail.
Jennifer Hudson in Romona Keveza, I saw a lot of yellow dresses at the Grammy Awards, but Hudson is the shining example as to why this color works on the red carpet. From her hair to makeup and oh!boy! that pose!!
Channing Tatum in Dolce & Gabbana, the "Magic Mike" stud looked sleek in a black tux by Dolce & Gabbana.
Felicity Jones in Alexander McQueen, The "Theory of Everything" actress is a pretty girl and her dress is cool from up but the down part................manageable.
Rosamund Pike in custom Givenchy, the "Gone Girl" actress already looks like a winner in this custom creation.
Kelly Ripa, I love the daytime talk show host, but this dress is a tad overwhelming on her petite frame.
Behati Prinsloo in Armani Privรฉ, the Victoria's Secret model is wearing a black bustier and full length skirt that is encrusted with red beads and palettes.
Naomi Watts in Armani Privรฉ, the "Birdman" actress wore a high neck organza gown with spiraling ruffles trimmed in white and jet black crystal beading. Stunning!
Marion Cotillard in Dior Haute Couture, the face of the brand looked like a chic little piece of sushi in her couture gown, the design sis kinda funny and weird to me tho, but she rocked the style well.
Chrissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad and John Legend in Gucci, Hollywood's hottest couple continue to dazzle the red carpet.
Zoe Saldana in Atelier Versace, I realize that she just had twins, but the fit and color of this dress feels a bit forced and not so flattering.
Zendaya in Vivienne Westwood, the multi-talented star looked chic in an all-white satin gown by Vivienne Westwood and I love the box braid.
Margot Robbie in Saint Laurent, the actress wowed us from the moment that she stepped onto the red carpet. Her sleek look and antique Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry is stunning.
Eddie Redmayne in Alexander McQueen "The Theory of Everything" star looks smart in a sleek navy tux with black lapel.
David Oyelowo in Dolce & Gabbana, the "Selma" actor stands out from the crowd in a scarlett-colored tux, awesome.

Faith Hill in J.Mendel and Tim McGraw in Lanvin, The country music stars look perfect for an evening out at the Oscars.
Anna Kendrick in custom Thakoon, the presenter was among the first to step on the red carpet and it set the tone for the evening. This color is great on her!
Lorelei Linklater in Gabriela Cadena, She's a teenager but she will do well  in something a bit classier.
Kelly Osbourne in Rita Vineris, the lace sleeves and fullness of this skirt is not very flattering on the E! hostess, for someone who present Fashion police I expect more from Kelly, her sandal is hideous and the is not just working for me.
Gina Rodriguez in Suzy Cameron's Red Carpet Green Dress, the "Jane the Virgin" actress is wearing an eco-friendly dress by French fashion student Manon Gabard.
Common in Prada, the performer is wearing a velvet tux by Prada and Harry Winston man jewelry. Werk!
Patricia Arquette in Rosetta Getty, The evening's Best Supporting Actress is wearing a black and white satin dress by her dear friend Rosetta Getty. We love the one-shoulder dress with draped fabric at the back
America Ferrera in Jenny Packham, the cut of this seafoam green dress is particularly lovely on the actress. Her red clutch and turqoise earrings give the look an extra pop.

Dakota Johnson in Saint Laurent, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" actress lit up the red carpet in a one shoulder dress by Saint Laurent with crystal detail at the shoulder
what a night.
