The label showcased at the recently concluded Africa Fashion Week London(AFWL) 4th edition, and presented their debut collection tagged “Fly/Fly High” to an international audience. RAAH was created in April 2014 by businesswoman turned fashion designer Rahima Mohamed, and showcased a collection inspired by the celebration of colours from earthy creams, ivories, vibrant reds and timeless black. It also features vintage pieces. Speaking in her experience at AFWL, Rahima said
“My first AFWL experience was amazing, I learned a lot about the backstage madness and met so many talented emerging designers that inspired me to challenge myself more, so it was really a great experience“. “The first runway experience was fantastic. It was hectic and I was nervous at first but I got over it because the crowd made it easy for me!” she added.
The collection and designer received praise from the New African Woman Editor-in-Chief, Jane Jere and AFWL Founder Ronke Ademiluyi among others on the success of the showcase.
